While Chicago was only home to one world’s tallest buildings, the city played a huge role in the race for the sky. Chicago is well known as the home and birth place of the skyscraper. As early as the 1870’s, Chicago was leading the way in taller and taller buildings. However, NYC would soon dominate the heights and quantity of skyscrapers. By the early 1900’s, NYC took over the world’s tallest building title until the 1970’s with the completion of the Sears Tower – included on this print.
The buildings on this print are some of the tallest and most iconic skyscrapers in Chicago.
NYC and Seattle mini posters available too.
